Savoy Pigeons by James McNeill Whistler

This Whistler lithograph was published by The Studio in 1896 and pulled from an edition of 3000. It has the Whistler butterfly mark just below and to the right of the two pigeons. The Studio's blind stamp is on the lower left of the sheet. It is printed on white transfer paper with a stone grained texture. Whistler is one of America's most famous artists, even though most of his working life was spent in Europe. His lithographs are a great way to own work by a fabulous artist.
