Arch and Fountain by Anton Krajnc
This is a lithograph by Austrian-American artist Anton Krajnc. It's a surrealistic scene that has some realistic landscape elements including rocks, trees, and leaves. The image is dominated by a large arch resembling a bridge or aqueduct. It is typical of his work in that the imagery is whimsical with architectural elements handled in a surrealistic way. This is enhanced through his use of translucent colors printed to enhance a haziness that evokes a dream, the meaning of which is open to the viewer's interpretation. It is signed in pencil lower right Krajnc with the edition 174/260 in pencil lower left. It is untitled. The piece is in excellent condition. There is no fading, staining, foxing, tears, or paper loss. The piece is archivally framed and matted. The image size is given above. The frame is 21.5 x 27.25 x 1 inches. An excellent example of the artist's work.
