Foothills by Frank Eckmair
This is an interesting landscape by Frank Eckmair. Eckmair always does more with less, but this piece is really extraordinary. The trees are minimally rendered, but enhanced by being framed by two huge areas of negative space. The hills are not even depicted per se--they exist as a wavy horizon underneath the dense black sky. An incredible piece by a master printmaker.
